Karan Johar’s upcoming production venture Kalank is one of the most awaited films of the year. Directed by Abhishek Varman, the film has an ensemble cast that boasts of the likes of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Kunal Kemmu, Madhuri Dixit and Aditya Roy Kapur. After teasing the fans with a picture shared by Varun and Alia on their social media handles, now Karan has finally unveiled the first look of Varun Dhawan as Zafar.
His love is matched only by his flamboyance and the grandeur of his world. Meet Zafar who flirts with fire and danger. Varun looks intense in the first look of this period drama. With black kohl and anger in his eyes, he looks fearless in love and fearless for love.

This will be Varun's and Alia’s fourth film together. Following their debut in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, the duo went on to act in two other films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The film is all set to release on April 19.
