Sara Ali Khan stunned everyone with her acting prowess in her debut film titled Kedarnath last year and broke all the box office records with Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh. Sara recently spoke on nepotism in an interview with a magazine. The Simmba actress said being a star kid, she has a few privileges like she can call Karan Johar or visit Rohit Shetty’s office without a reason.
The 23-year-old actress also added that knowing people in the industry has made it easy for her and admitted this to be the biggest advantage of being closely associated with the film fraternity. "I definitely believe that knowing people in the industry does help. That's not a fact that I can run away from. I've often admitted to the fact that the biggest advantage of nepotism is the fact that we have easy access to people. I can call up Karan Johar without doing any film. I can go to Rohit Shetty's office. So these are privileges I'm well aware of," Sara said during the interview.
Sara further added that star kids do get the extra amount of protection and pampering when they make their debut. However, she went on to even clarify that they haven’t asked for any of that. "There's also a level of protection that we enjoy. Not that we’ve asked for it, not that we choose our parents and not that we need to work any less hard. But anyone who denies this isn't cool," Sara said.
Sara is actor Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s firstborn. After appearing in two successful films in 2018, Sara is gearing up for a film with Kartik Aaryan which will be directed by Imtiaz Ali.
