Siddhant Chaturvedi who made his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy has become the latest heartthrob of the nation. He impressed everyone with his large-hearted street rapper MC Sher role in the film. The film with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead has become the turning point of Siddhant’s career and he has been on cloud nine with the acclaim that he has received.
During an interview given to a leading tabloid, Siddhant spoke about his co-star and the film’s lead Ranveer. His on-screen chemistry with Ranveer has been the talking point of the film. Talking about Ranveer, Siddhant told the tabloid that he is the most secure actor in the film industry and he would love to team up again with him for a film. He said, “It’s not easy for someone to give so much of screen time to a debutant but Ranveer is a pure soul. I found my MC Sher in him, he mentored me and made me feel powerful. The audience calls us the new age Jai-Veeru,” alluding to the hit screen pair of Amitabh and Dharmendra in Sholay.

Gully Boy is based on the lives of Indian rappers Divine and Naezy and shows the story of an underdog who wants to break the shackles of society and realize his dream of becoming a well-known rapper. Gully Boy released on February 14 and has been doing great business at the box office.
