Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar is planning to make a film on Marshal Sam Manekshaw and has approached Ranveer Singh for the project, a leading daily reports. Marshal Sam Manekshaw, also known as Sam Bahadur, was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. He was also the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal.
Sources told the daily that Meghna has “briefed” Ranveer about the film and the actor has approved of the idea. Ranveer, however, has not yet confirmed the project as yet.
