After announcing his next big project as Lal Singh Chaddha today, the remake of Forrest Gump, birthday boy Aamir Khan also revealed that he wants to play Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a film. The actor thinks he is the perfect choice for the role as he looks like the Maratha warrior.
"I really want to play Shivaji. I look like him", Aamir said.
When asked about historical films, the actor added, "It's a good thing that historical films are being made. History is a strange subject, depends on who writes it. I will suggest, one should go deeper, dig more and get more point of views before locking a script."

"A historical film needs a lot of time. And I have nothing to say on Mahabharat, let's see", laughed off Aamir, when probed about his much-talked-about dream project, which reportedly has not been announced.
For the unversed, Riteish Deshmukh is currently making a big budget film on Chhatrapati Shivaji's life in Marathi, which is expected to release next year. Director Rohit Shetty too has expressed his desire to make a biopic on the revered warrior but believes it's to big a budget to bring the warrior's heroic story on celluloid.
