Karan Johar’s upcoming production venture Kalank boasts of an ensemble cast including Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Kunal Kemmu, Madhuri Dixit and Aditya Roy Kapur. The character posters and recently released teaser of the film has already created a buzz among the audience and it would not be wrong to say that Kalank, directed by Abhishek Varman, is indeed one of the most awaited films of the year.
Now as Alia celebrates her 26th birthday today on March 15, KJo gave her a birthday present by unveiling a new poster of her character Roop. He captioned it as, "Courage has never looked this beautiful! Meet the feisty #Roop in #Kalank on 17th April." Well, we certainly agree as beautiful is an understatement for Alia as she looks straight in the camera with her hopeful eyes. See for yourself:

Kalank is rumoured to be a love story, conceptualized in the backdrop of the partition, and began filming in May 2018. As per the reports, Kalank has been shot over a period of 100 days in Hyderabad, Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, Kargil and Indore apart from Mumbai.
Interestingly, Alia will be sharing screen space with Varun for the fourth time in Kalank. After making their debut together in Student of the Year, the two actors worked together in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
