Remakes, sequels and second installments are the next big idea in Bollywood. Every hit film irrespective of its script or its longevity is under scrutiny by filmmakers whether they can be turned into remakes or can have a sequel. It is almost as if Bollywood is having a dearth of good ideas and is just trying to churn content one after the other. Now, another film has joined the list of remakes.
As reported by a trade portal, Tips Industries is planning to revive its 2003 hit film Ishq Vishk that launched Sahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao. The film also featured Vishal Malhotra and Shenaz Tresurywalla in pivotal roles. Shahid made his debut with Ishq Vishk and proceeded to become the heartthrob of all the youngsters in the 2000s.

The production house is hoping to recreate the magic of the original film through the remake. The original film’s director Ken Ghosh will not take up the mantle for the film and hence, the makers are looking for someone to fill his shoes. Ishq Vishk’s second installment will also see new faces as the lead.
The new film will mark the debut of Girish Taurani as producer. The buzz is already high as Ishq Vishk was a welcome break from the films released in the 2000s and presented a fresh take on new-age young romance. Hopefully, the film will once again weave its magic on the audience.
