It is known that Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most talented actors of Bollywood and his cinematic journey is enough to prove that he is a master of his profession. His last release Sanju, which saw him in the role of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, earned lots of accolades and acclaim for his performance and minted money at the box office. And let's just say that Ranbir's hard work finally paid off as he won the Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) Award at the Filmfare Awards 2019, held in Mumbai on March 23.
As soon as his name was announced, he kissed his lady love Alia Bhatt, who was sitting right next to him, and even hugged Deepika Padukone, who was seated next to both of them. Later, he blew a kiss to his Sanju co-star Vicky Kaushal as well. Winning the award, Ranbir gave a heartfelt speech and said, "Thanks to all the people who are associated with the film. It’s been over a decade that I have been acting in the films. It’s not skills or dancing skills that wins awards, but putting your souls on screen as that’s what the audience love."

Other nominated for the award included Akshay Kumar for Padman, Ayushmann Khurrana for Andhadhun, Rajkummar Rao for Stree, Ranveer Singh for Padmaavat and Shah Rukh Khan for Zero.
