Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are all geared up for their next film Bharat, a a period-drama directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. What's more, they will be joined by actor Jackie Shroff as the actor is all set to play Salman's father in the film. Although Jackie, 62, is barely ten years older than Salman, he admits he had no qualms playing father to him.
Speaking to a leading daily, Jackie said, "I am aware that the age gap is only 10 years. We started our careers almost around the same time, but I don't have any problem playing his father. I have always treated Salman like my bachcha. Even today, he is like a kid to me." Further stating that Salman would look up to him as a style icon, Jackie added, "I remember, [in our early days], he would admire my jeans and shoes."

The actor also pointed out that if the character is good, he does not shy away from playing senior characters on screen. "I played Kareena Kapoor's father in Yaadein in 2001, and a few years back, I did it with Aamir [Khan] in Dhoom 3 (2013). If the character is good and I am convinced about it, other factors don't matter to me," he asserted.
Also featuring Sunil Grover, Tabu, Disha Patani and Aasif Sheikh, Bharat is the official remake of South Korean film Ode To My Father. Produced by Atul Agnihotri and T-Series, it is slated to release on Eid 2019.
