Deepika Padukone shared the first look of her upcoming film Chhapaak on social media on Monday and announced the release date as - January 10, 2020 – in the event of which the Meghna Gulzar directorial will end up clashing with Ajay Devgn’s Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. Over the weekend, Ajay posted a tweet, informing his fans and followers about the release date of Taanaji.
“Start the 2020 new year with me, as Tanhaji releases on Jan 10,” Ajay wrote on Twitter. Directed by Om Raut, the film is co-produced by Ajay and Bhushan Kumar.

Deepika, meanwhile, announced the release date of Chhapaak a day later on Monday as she began filming.

Well, it looks like January 2020 will be major enough. Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior is a biopic on the life of
Taanaji Malusare, a military leader in Shivaji’s army.
Chhapaak is based on real life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and Deepika Padukone has been cast as the protagonist Malti. The film co-stars Vikrant Massey and will be co-produced by Deepika.
