From Katrina Kaif to Sonakshi Sinha and Jacqueline Fernandez, Salman Khan has shared screen space with Bollywood’s A-list heroines in several films. In fact, when it was recently announced that Salman would be collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, fans kept wondering if he would be seen opposite Deepika Padukone in the romantic drama. But once again, Deepika was sidelined as the role in Inshallah eventually went to Alia Bhatt.
During a recent interview, Salman was asked why Deepika always goes missing from the list of his heroines, to which he said, "Actually even I’m wondering when will I work with Deepika?" When further quizzed about the reason behind it, he quipped, "No one has come forward to cast me with her," and added, "Deepika is a big star, so it has to be worth her while to do a film with me. Right now, there is nothing."

Talking about his forthcoming projects, the Dabangg star concluded by saying, "In Bharat, Katrina Kaif is my heroine. She will also be my leading lady in the third part of the Tiger series. In Dabangg 3, there’s Sonakshi Sinha. In Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick 2, I’m paired with Jacqueline Fernandez. So, if something comes up with Deepika, then perhaps..."
On the other hand, Deepika, who was last seen in SLB's magnum opus Padmaavat, has started working on her next, Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak.
