My kids have to audition even for my home productions: Aamir Khan on Junaid, Ira and Azad joining Bollywood

From Sara Ali Khan to Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, several Bollywood star kids forayed into Bollywood last year and made a mark for themselves in the industry. So it does not come as a surprise that Aamir Khan's kids, Junaid and Ira, have plans to enter Bollywood. In fact, the Thugs of Hindostan star affirmed on Koffee with Karan 6 that both his kids have aspirations to join the film business sooner or later but not necessarily as actors.

However, Aamir has always maintained that he will not be blinded by his love for his children when judging their professional merit. During a recent interview with a leading daily, the actor was asked if his son Junaid, who has assisted Rajkumar Hirani on a couple of his movies and has shown interest in theatre, is looking up to him for a 'Bollywood break'. To which he replied, "If there is a subject suitable for him and if he passed the audition, then I would consider it. However, Junaid has not approached me for anything like this." He added that his daughter, Ira, hasn’t yet discussed with him about her plans of joining the film business.

Last but not the least, Aamir was quizzed if his younger son Azad would be suitable for the role of his childhood in his next production, Lal Singh Chadda. Hearing this, the actor reportedly smiled and signed off by saying, "Yaar, I haven’t thought of any of this. Frankly, if my casting director suggests it and if Azad passes the audition, it could happen. My kids have to audition even for my home productions."
