The film Aankhen that released in 2002 and was directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah is one of the best suspense-thrillers ever made in Bollywood. The film was an adaptation of Shah’s pwn Gujarati play Andhalo Pato (Blindman's Bluff) and had Akshay, Arjun and Paresh playing blind in the film.
The film is all set to get a sequel Aankhen 2 which will be helmed by Anees Bazmee and after a lot of speculations on the cast, a leading daily has reported that Saif Ali Khan has been approached along with Jacqueline Fernandez to star in the film along with Big B. Paresh has also made it to the cast of the film according to the daily. According to the report, Anees wanted to work with Saif who has worked on several thriller films before.
The leading daily reported a source, “Both (Saif and Anees) of them had been planning to collaborate for a few years. The filmmaker was looking to cast someone for the second male lead and approached Saif with the script. The Nawab of Pataudi will essay a role similar to what Akshay Kumar had portrayed in the first part. Saif has been a part of successful thrillers such as the Race franchise. So, he jumped at this offer.”
