Aditya Roy Kapur knows better about ‘Najayaz Rishta’: Varun Dhawan pokes fun at his colleague at Kalank’s trailer launch

The trailer of Karan Johar’s and Sajid Nadiadwala’s production venture Kalank was unveiled today at an event in Mumbai. The film boasts of having a stellar star cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kunal Kemmu. The film is directed by Abhishek Varman and is a period film set in the 1940s.

During the trailer launch today, the star cast interacted with the media and answered their queries about the film and their characters. However, it was also a fun event with the actors pulling each other’s leg as well. One such instance came up when Varun was asked about ‘Najayaz Rishta’ in real life. The actor had a very witty reply and poked fun at his fellow actor Aditya. He said, “Najayaz rishton ke bare mein baat karein to Aditya better answer karega.” Aditya was caught totally unawares at Varun's antic and said, "Why bro, I have nothing to say on this topic. In the film’s trailer, Madhuri mouths the dialogue, “Najayaz mohabbat ka anjaam aksar tabahi hota hai,” that might point towards the love between Varun and Alia in the film, as Alia is a married woman. However, it is also speculated that Varun plays the love child of Madhuri and Sanjay. However, ever since Aditya shared a picture of himself on social media proclaiming his single status he has been the scapegoat of many jokes from his peers and colleagues and probably this remark of Varun was also hinting towards the same.
