The much-anticipated film Kalank’s trailer was released today at an event. The entire star cast of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kunal Kemmu, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt were present during the launch. Kalank is directed by Abhishek Varman and is produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios.
During the trailer launch, Alia spoke about her character of Roop and also about the crux of the film. Alia’s character is the catalyst that drives the film forward. Talking about her role that has shades of grey she said, “Sometimes you make some decisions in anger that you regret later and that happens with everybody.” In fact, the trailer opens with this dialogue and what unfolds is the repercussions to her choice.

Alia also spoke about the crux of Kalank and said, “The core of the film is about human relationships, the dynamics of human relationships and love is obviously a very big part of the film.” Watch the video below.

Emotions run high in Kalank and we get to see a gamut of them in the protagonists’ faces. The inter-woven relationship and the love that binds different characters is what Kalank is all about. The film is slated to release on April 17.
