Around 150 drones lit up the sky to form the Brahmastra logo at Kumbh on Maha Shivratri in March as Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and director Ayan Mukerji made fans witness a spectacular vision and trust us, it was a big, big deal. In a behind-the scenes- video that has been released by the makers of Brahmastra, Ranbir, Alia and Ayan along with the team described the entire procedure of the one-of-a-kind film marketing initiative.
“The Kumbh is the largest gathering of humanity in the world. Deep down at the heart of the film, it’s very connected with our culture and our mythology. The Kumbh Mela is just that,” Ayan said in the video. An entire team of several experts formulated charts and maps, did the required construction and managed the logistics to form the Brahmastra logo with the help of drones. “So many people attended the Kumbh Mela on Mahashivratri. Drones painting the sky. I couldn’t wait to see it,” Alia said.
After working for over three months on the set up, however, it rained heavily prior to Maha Shivratri and the entire team was disheartened in the fear of their efforts going to waste. However, it all went well as the weather settled down and the Brahmastra logo was formed in the sky, much to the delight and joy of the team.
“The film that we are making deserved something really out of the box,” Ayan said and that is what exactly happened!
Brahmastra, releasing this Christmas, is a fantasy adventure trilogy. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna.
