Since April 6, several media reports suggested that GoAir stopped actress Preity Zinta to board its flight under the instructions of airline's owner Ness Wadia's orders. However, admist all this, the airline has now issued a statement claiming that the reports were actually incorrect as Preity was not denied boarding the flight but she did not show up. Furthermore, the airline demanded apology from the sections of media for fabricating a story.
"Sections of the media have reported malicious and factually incorrect story that is false, fabricated and without any basis stating that 'Preity Zinta was stopped from boarding GoAir flight," the statement read as. It further added, "GoAir strongly and completely denies any such action. Contrary to the reportage, all the facts-on-ground clearly show that Ms Preity Zinta had a smooth flight Mumbai to Chandigarh GoAir G8-381 on Saturday March 30, 2019. Further, on April 2, 2019 she also booked herself on a return flight G8 382 from Chandigarh to Mumbai but did not show up. This clearly demonstrates that sections of media have reported mischievously and without verifying the facts with GoAir."
For the uninitiated, Preity previously dated Ness and they both were even bought Kings XI Punjab team of Indian Premier League together, only to have a bitter break up later. Not to forget, the actress had filed a complaint against Ness in 2014 accusing him of molestation, threats and abuse. However, the Bombay High Court withdrew the case later, stating that both parties have resolved the case in their personal capacity.
On the personal front, Preity is now married to Gene Goodenough.
