Didn't want to emulate a cult song: Sunny Deol on recreating Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas for son Karan Deol's debut film

Sunny Deol's son Karan Deol is all set to make her Bollywood debut in his father's directorial Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. The film, which also stars Sahher Bamba, is in the last leg of its shoot and the lead pair is busy shooting for the film in various locations across Mumbai, including a pub. However, rumours were rife that the iconic song Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas would be recreated for Karan Deol's debut film of the same name. However, Sunny has now dismissed all such speculations.

Stating that he does want to emulate a cult song, he pointed out to a leading daily, "We didn't want to touch the iconic song and only borrowed the title as it's apt for our story. This song has the title in its first line but that's where the similarity ends. It is a completely new song, the idea was never to emulate a cult song.”

Meanwhile, Sunny is making sure that the title track of his son’s debut is perfect and hence, he has even worked with composers Sachet Parampara and Rishi Rich and lyricist duo Siddharth and Garima on the same. Earlier too, the daily quoted a source as saying, "It's a romantic track that reflects the theme of the film. They will continue for a week before calling it a wrap.”

The poster of Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas was released in February this year and the film is slated to hit the screens on July 19, 2019.
