Actor Navtej Hundal who starred in URI: The Surgical Strike and played the role of the Home Minister in the film passed away on Monday, April 8. Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) confirmed the news of his untimely death on their official Twitter handle. CINTAA shared the sad news on social media and expressed their deepest condolences to his family. The cause of his death is not known.
Apart from acting in films, Hundal also used to conduct acting classes for budding actors. The actor is survived by his wife Neelam and two daughters. His daughter Avantika Hundal is currently acting in Karan Patel’s and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya’s TV show Yeh Hain Mohabbatein. She plays the role of Mihika.

Hundal was a popular film actor who had been working in Bollywood for over a decade. Other than Vicky Kaushal starrer URI: The Surgical Strike he has also acted in films like Khalnayak, Tere Mere Sapne and The Whisperers. He also featured in the iconic television serial Bharat Ek Khoj.
