Director Raj Kumar Gupta of No One Killed Jessica fame is busy with his upcoming project India’s Most Wanted starring Arjun Kapoor. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on May 24. However, while the film is awaiting release, Gupta has already started work on his next, a biographical film.
Reportedly, he is all set to bring the life story of Indian spy Ravinder Kaushik to the big screen. Kaushik was an actor-turned-RAW agent and was also known as The Black Tiger, a name given to him by the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Speculation was rife that Gupta had approached Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor to play the protagonist. However, Gupta quashed all such rumours.
Gupta told a trade portal, “At the moment, I am writing the script. Only after I am done writing my script and I have my entire vision on paper, and there is clarity about casting, I will approach actors. Both Ranbir and Hrithik are fabulous actors but this is just speculation.”
Earlier Gupta had said in a statement, “Ravinder Kaushik was India's greatest spy. Interestingly, he was an actor before becoming a spy. It's an emotional and remarkable story. We are at the scripting stage for the film. I am humbled and thankful to his family, who trusted me and gave me the rights to turn this unbelievable story into a film.”
