Ranveer Singh is currently training for his upcoming film, Kabir Khan’s ’83 but in case you aren’t aware of this, his role was initially offered to Randeep Hooda, a leading daily reports. ’83 casts Ranveer as Kapil Dev and is being directed by Kabir but the report states that the project was initially supposed to be helmed by Sanjay Pooran Singh and he wanted Randeep to play the lead role.
The announcement regarding Randeep playing the lead role in ’83 was formally declared as well while the actor did the look test also. However, as per the report, ’83 was passed on to Kabir Khan due to “some circumstances”.
Nevertheless, that’s history for now as Ranveer and his team trained in Dharamshala for a few days under the guidance of Balvinder Singh Sandhu and Mohinder Amarnath. ’83 also stars Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem and Chirag Patil.

Randeep Hooda will appear next in Imtiaz Ali’s film starring Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan, reportedly titled Aaj Kal.
