Kannada actor Sudeep, cast as Salman Khan’s ‘nemesis’ in Dabangg 3, will begin filming with the team in May and if a report in a leading daily is anything to go by, will also feature in a ‘larger-than-life’ face-off with the superstar. Salman and Sonakshi Sinha are currently filming Dabangg 3 in Mumbai and elaborate sets, including a temple, house and a lake, have been constructed for the film.
The report states that action sequences will be shot in another studio in Mumbai. Speaking of Sudeep’s role, the source told the daily, “He plays a goon in the film and will be seen in an intense, larger-than-life face-off with the hero. In this film, the villain’s track is more of a parallel lead.”
Meanwhile, Salman will soon begin discharging promotional duties for his Eid release Bharat and during that period, director Prabhudheva will shoot with Sudeep primarily. “In Salman’s absence, Prabhudheva (director) will shoot Sudeep’s solo portions in the city. Since he is a big star down South, the plan is to present him in a certain way. He will also have a grand introduction,” the source added.
Sharing details about Sudeep’s character, the source also added, “The film is set in the past and present and Sudeep’s character is involved in both. This time, it’s the antagonist who is the catalyst in the story.”
Dabangg 3 is expected to release in December.
