Alia Bhatt will appear in a special song, titled The Hook-Up Song, in Student Of The Year 2 and director Punit Malhotra said that she danced better than lead actor Tiger Shroff in the film, a leading daily reports. SOTY 2 stars Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria apart from Tiger while Alia made her debut in Bollywood with Student Of The Year in 2012.
“Alia and Tiger look amazing together, their chemistry is sizzling,” Punit told the daily, adding that the song has been choreographed by Farah Khan and was filmed over days at a studio in Mumbai.
Moreover, Punit said that the dance steps choreographed by Farah for The Hook-Up Song are pretty much difficult and Alia also bruised herself at times while filming. However, Alia gave it her best shot.
“The song is a trump card which we saved for the end. Tiger will kill me for saying this, but Alia has danced better than him. I call it a leap of faith, it’s a fun space to be in,” Punit added.
Student Of The Year also starred Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan apart from Alia. Asked whether the actors will also make a special appearance in SOTY 2, Punit said, “Honestly no they are not in it. But fingers crossed something could happen soon.”
SOTY 2 will release on May 10.
