Salman Khan, it appears, isn’t interested in allowing his film Inshallah to clash with Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi at the box office on Eid 2020. Inshallah was scheduled to release on Eid next year while Akshay had already booked the date for Sooryavanshi previously. However, a report in a leading daily suggests that Salman recently called Akshay and said that he will “ensure” that both films do not end up clashing at the box office.
Salman prefers to release his films on Eid but if the report is anything to go by, at this moment, he isn’t interested in allowing Akshay’s film to coincide with his on the same date.
Inshallah, to be directed for Sanjay Leela Bhansali, stars Alia Bhatt opposite Salman Khan. The actor is scheduled to begin filming in September. The release date for the film hasn’t been announced as yet. Sooryavanshi, on the other hand, casts Katrina Kaif opposite Akshay Kumar. The film will be directed by Rohit Shetty.
Katrina, in an interview with a leading daily earlier this week, was asked about the supposed clash between Inshallah and Sooryavanshi, and she said, “Salman loves Akshay, he loves Rohit. He will always be supportive of me in the work place. So, I don’t think he will let his film clash with Sooryavanshi.”
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, meanwhile, are gearing up for the release of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat scheduled for release on Eid.
