Ali Abbas Zafar who is currently prepping up for his big Eid release Bharat is keen on signing Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan together in a film. While both Salman and Shah Rukh have shared the screen space together several times, it was seventeen years ago when they had done a full-fledged film together. It was in the 2002 film Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam that Salman and Shah Rukh were last seen together.
But going by Ali Abbas Zafar, this might change soon. In an interview to a website, the director was asked that in one of his previous interviews he had expressed his desire to work with Salman and SRK together in a film and if it will happen soon. To which, Abbas replied, "Inshallah! It will happen soon. I hope if I write a script, why not? They both love each other. They want to work together with each other. If there is a script that will come out, why will they not do a film together?"
On the work front, filmmaker Ali is busy with Bharat which stars Salman and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. The film traces the journey of a man, Bharat, along with the country, since the stroke of midnight hour when India got its independence. It is an official remake of Korean film An Ode To My Father.
