'I have definitely started to understand more of the craft': Katrina Kaif talks about the appreciation she is receiving for her work

Katrina Kaif was last seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Although the film did not fare at the box-office, Katrina's role as the alcoholic actress, Babita Kumari, was praised by everyone. Now the actress is looking forward to reuniting with Salman Khan in Bharat and with Akshay Kumar in Rohit Shetty's cop-drama Sooryavanshi

Stating that she has started to enjoy her  time on a film set, Katrina told a leading daily, “I am feeling really inspired; work is giving me a lot of joy right now. I’m in a new phase of unlearning, re-learning and learning a lot of things. There are many interesting makers and creative people whose paths are crossing mine. And they are teaching me a lot of things. This is something I didn’t expect.” Although several actors tend to feel saturated after spending a certain amount of years in the industry, Katrina admits that it is not the case with her. “But believe me, none of that is happening to me. Instead, I’m feeling rejuvenated. At this point, to be experiencing so much of new learning, new energy around me is really nice. It was most unexpected, but I am glad it’s happening,” she added.

Further maintaining that the emotional highs and lows in her life have been a learning experience, Katrina went on to say, “Life has put me on a journey that has put me on unchartered (very unexpected paths) territories emotionally. That has taught me about myself. I have learnt a lot about emotion, pain, love and betrayal. But at the same time, I have also gained an understanding about positive things like trust."

On a concluding note, she praised her Zero director Aanand L Rai for discovering her real potential as an artiste. "He was able to guide me with an emotional scene so beautifully. He would encourage me to reach deep within to bring the needed emotions to the fore. Such experiences and encouragement from a director have helped me evolve as an actor. I have definitely started to understand more of the craft," Katrina signed off.
