Shahid Kapoor along with Kiara Advani and the crew of his upcoming film Kabir Singh released the trailer on Monday. Soon after the trailer was made available on various platforms, Twitter, without wasting any time, began the troll game. Fans used the social media platform to share funny memes and jokes inspired by dialogues from the film. In a scene from the trailer, Shahid's character Kabir is heard saying, "Nahi aaunga matlab nahi aaunga. Bola naa nahi aaunga," apparently became subject to hilarious trolls.

Talking about Kabir Singh, the film is an official remake of the Telugu superhit film titled Arjun Reddy that featured Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles. Similar to Arjun, Kabir, a brilliant medical college student is an alcoholic, addict with anger issues and becomes a rebel after his girlfriend Preeti, a simple innocent girl, is married off to some other man. Kiara Advani plays the role of Preeti in the Hindi version.
Kabir Singh is directed Sandeep Reddy Vanga who directed the original film too. Kabir Singh is scheduled to release on June 21, 2019. Before Kabir Singh, Kiara and Shahid featured in the music album titled Urvashi Urvashi.
