Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 has been in the headlines for a while now and unfortunately for all the wrong reasons. After a lot of back and forth Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms decided to shift the release date of their upcoming film Mental Hai Kya from June 21 to July 26. Hrithik’s film was supposed to release in January this year but was later pushed for a July 26 release. However, since Hrithik and Kangana have been at loggerheads and share some very public discord, Super 30’s release date was moved to a later date that wasn’t announced initially.
Hrithik had issued a statement about the shift in the release date but had not shared the date. However, now a trade website has reported that the makers of Hrithik’s film are looking at dates in the month of August to release their film. Apparently, they are hoping to release the film in the first couple of weeks in August and are eyeing either 2nd or 9th August as the probable release date for the film.
The final call for the date will be taken next week and hopefully the makers will be able to avoid the Independence Day weekend as not one but three biggies are being released- Akshay Kumar’s and Vidya Balan’s Mission Mangal and John Abraham starrer Batla House and Prabhas’ and Shraddha Kapoor’s Saaho which will give tough competition to Super 30.
