Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been grabbing eyeballs lately for her sartorial outings, first at the Met Gala 2019 in New York and later, at the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival 2019. While she 'wrapped' herself in a Peter Dundas dramatic gown with a gigantic bow at her first red carpet appearance, she totally slayed the red carpet yet again when she stepped out in Giambattista Valli's quirky lime green gown.
While everyone kept raving about her fashion picks, her fans could not stop raving about how she is now open to experiment and try different looks, much like her husband Ranveer Singh. Hence, when asked why did she not bring Ranveer along with her to Cannes this year, Deepika gave a rather witty reply. In an interview with Anupama Chopra, when Deepika was prodded about it, she said that Ranveer is more suited for Met Gala is New York and if he was to walk the Cannes red carpet with her, she would totally top him. Well, if you think for a second, she is certainly right and in fact, this year's MET Gala theme of Camp: Notes on Fashion is more of Ranveer’s style.
