Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are all set for the big release of their upcoming film Bharat on June 5, 2019. At a promotional event recently, Salman was asked about Priyanka Chopra, who had stepped down from the film just five days before the shoot. The actress was then replaced by Katrina, who was very thankful to her for the role.
In an interview, when asked if Priyanka has reacted to this film, Salman said, “She hasn’t tweeted yet, so don’t know about her reaction.” He later added, “She couldn’t do the film because of her own reasons and all happens for good. She did come to me to say that she can’t be a part of the film, just five days before we were to start shooting. She told me that she will be getting married, so I told her that the dates can be adjusted. But she said that she didn’t know how long it would take. So I was fine with it.” He also said, “For this career, when you put in so many efforts to keep it intact, this was the biggest film of her career. There may have even been thoughts that maybe, after this, Salman will not work with me again. But she chose to get married which is good, usually, people leave their husbands."
His statement churned up curiosity about whether he would now work with the Desi girl Priyanka, to which the star said, “Sure if she has anything to offer, I will.”
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat is a story of a man and a nation together.
