Veteran actor Hema Malini, who is BJP's candidate from Mathura constituency in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, has defeated Congress' Mahesh Pathak and Narendra Singh of the RLD. In 2014 Lok Sabha Elections too, Hema won the Mathura seat and defeated seasoned politician Jayant Chaudhary. 

Her husband, veteran actor Dharmendra, congratulated her on the win on Twitter:

Hema was a Rajya Sabha MP between 2003 and 2009.
