Salman Khan, who will next be seen in Bharat, is busy promoting the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial in full swing along with his co-star Katrina Kaif. The film, which is slated to hit the screens on the occasion of Eid, is less than ten days from its release. At a recent press meet, Salman was asked to comment on the new-age audience that was preferring content over stardom, Salman quipped that stardom will always fade away and it is indeed a huge task to keep it going for a long time.
“It [stardom] will always fade away. And it is a huge task to keep it going for the long time. I think Shah Rukh, Aamir, Akshay – we are the only ones who have been able to put it up for such a long time. And we will try our best to keep it going for another few years. I know of superstars...jinka phir later on jaake box-office collection 8-10% aata hai. So that is going to happen to us as well. But I don’t think it has started yet," he told the media.
Interestingly, Salman's close friend Aamir has recently stated that he is prepared to see his box-office standing not be the same as it is now. When Salman was asked about his thoughts on the same, he mentioned, “There is a long time for that. I think few years more, 30-35 years."
Well, we certainly hope so!
Bharat, co-starring Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover and Tabu in important parts, is jointly produced by Reel Life Productions, Salman Khan Films and T-Series. The film will see Salman in different avatars, aging from 1946 till 2010.
