Lovebirds Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora are definitely not shying away from painting the town red, be it attending parties together or their dinner outings. In fact, the couple also took off to Maldives to spend some quality time together. Although Arjun and Malaika have been papped together often by now, the two left everyone amazed when they walked hand-in-hand and posed happily together at India's Most Wanted screening. Not only did the two look super comfortable in front of the camera, Malaika was spotted with Arjun's family as well.
Now in a recent interview with a publication, Arjun pointed that he and Malaika aren't doing anything wrong, stating that he felt comfortable making it official with Malaika at his film screening as the media treated them with dignity and respect. "We've come out because we feel the media has given us dignity. There's a certain understanding the media has... they've been respectful, kind, honest and decent about it. That is why I felt comfortable. You recoil when there's a certain "gandhagi" that comes with the territory. When purposely people irk you by saying, writing or asking things... there hasn't been any of that. Where the paps are concerned, we give them photos when walking in and out of a place. It is normal. We talk to them," he said.
Adding that he doesn't want that story being conveyed that they are still hiding, Arjun further stated, "There's a certain ease. I told them don't sit under the house just because it looks like we're hiding, when we're not. Let it be natural. Let it be normal. I don't want my neighbours being disturbed, I don't want her neighbours being disturbed. We're not doing anything wrong. I don't want that story being conveyed that we're still hiding, when we're not. They understood that." Well, kudos to Arjun and Malaika for accepting their relationship in public after keeping it under wraps for a long time.
Malaika was earlier married to Arbaaz Khan for 18 years before divorcing him in 2017. The two have a 16-year-old son, Arhaan Khan.
