The makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali-produced Malaal, introducing Sharmin Sehgal and Meezaan Jaffrey, dropped the first song from the film titled Aila Re. The song introduces Javed Jaffrey's son Meezaan's character in the film named Shiva with a backdrop of a dance bar. The grand and spectacular introductory song plays witness to Meezaan's impeccable dancing skills as he is seen grooving to the racy and upbeat tunes of the song perfectly.
The song opens up in a dance bar where Shiva is seen enjoying the dance of a girl on the stage. As the girl throws a glance at him, he joins her to shake a leg. Aila Re puts forth a great portrayal of the raunchy side of 'Bombay' and wins brownie points for using a few Marathi words in between that just adds to the overall 'masala' of the song. Meezaan impresses with his quick and smooth change in expressions and proves he is the legit son of the phenomenal dancer, Javed. Dance runs in Meezaan's genes and this song does absolute justice to his inborn, natural talent inherited from his father. Watch the song here:
Aila Re is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's composition while vocals are by Vishal Dadlani. The rap portion in the song is sung by Shreyas Puranik whereas the lyrics are written by Prashant Ingole. The song is choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.
Malaal is a story of Shiva and Astha, played by Meezaan and Sharmin respectively. Mangesh Hadawale is the director while Sanjay is producing it with Bhushan Kumar, Mahaveer Jain and Krishan Kumar. Malaal is scheduled to release on July 5.
