Salman Khan who is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film Bharat has been on a promotional spree and during the media interactions, he has time and again taken digs at Priyanka Chopra who was supposed to star in the film alongside him. However, she chose to leave the film as she tied the knot to American singer-actor Nick Jonas last year and Katrina Kaif stepped in her shoes. Salman’s unsavoury comments on Priyanka did not hold well with singer Sona Mohapatra who called the actor ‘a poster child of toxic masculinity’.
However, things took an ugly turn when an ardent supporter of Salman issued a death threat to the singer via mail. She promptly posted a screenshot of the email on Twitter. Now, hours after her tweet, she has shared the apology that the man tendered to her. The fan’s words took a dramatic turn and he went from ‘S**t I’ll kill you’ to ‘Sona Ma'am’. Check out Sona’s tweets below:
From ‘Slut I’ll kill you’ to ‘Sona Mam’.
A journey of toxic intimidation to ‘being intimidated’ within 24 hours?
I’m guessing he figured that #India would find & thrash him soon enough.
Dear followers of bhai the bully, please read the writing in the wall. Your time is UP. pic.twitter.com/TxcLlm25lM— SONA (@sonamohapatra) May 29, 2019
Also, everyone trying to ask me to get the police involved to teach this guy a lesson please note that, the @MumbaiPolice has too many matters to look into & I would be loathe to take their already stretched resources for granted to satisfy my own ego. I’ll do so, when I deem fit

Took fear to apologise after the police came into the picture, not courage. Rewarding the bad with so much empathy, understanding & concern? It’s the reason why Salman continues to be Salman. We create monsters by normalising the well behaved & empathising with the badly behaved. https://t.co/FJ3bGHhiSF

She had openly berated Salman for his toxic remarks against Priyanka Chopra and his misogynistic attitude towards women. The singer definitely deserves a standing ovation for calling out the bullshit every time.
