Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film has already generated quite a good buzz with its songs and trailers. However, it is Katrina who has garnered the maximum cheers for her acting, in fact, Salman is even mighty impressed by her and has been rooting for her to bag an award for her performance. In an earlier interview, the actor had said that Katrina should get a National Award for her portrayal of Kumud in Bharat.
Recently, when Salman was asked about the comment he had made earlier that he does not care for awards during an interview, he said, “No, but they matter to her. She has worked really hard and it shouldn’t go waste. She has worked so hard on this film that it looks really natural. When it shows on screen that you are working hard, then that is not hard work. But when it looks effortless, that is hard work."

He further added, “She has managed to do that in the film, with her dialogues, talafuz, and expressions. You will see a different Katrina in this film. She is also playing different age groups, and she has done a really good job." Katrina bagged the role of Kumud after Priyanka Chopra left the film citing her impending marriage to American singer-actor Nick Jonas last year.
Salman might be harping on the fact that Katrina should win awards but the actress has stated that the ultimate validation for her work comes from the audience. Bharat is slated to release on June 5 and is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
