Ayushmann Khurrana, who is all set to feature next in Bala, a film about a man who is balding prematurely and how he deals with it, recently landed into trouble after a case was filed against the actor along with director and producer Dinesh Vijan. The complainant, assistant director Kamal Kant Chandra, alleged that the team lifted the central plot of a prematurely balding man from his project, Wig. Reportedly, Kamal further claimed that lawyers of trio had falsely mentioned in the court that Bala is in scripting stage.
Now in a recent development, Ayushmann along with Amar Kaushik and Dinesh, have been called in for questioning by the Thane police in connection with the same, as reported by a leading daily. A letter of memorandum was sent to the trio on Sunday, by the Kashmira police station, after they received the complaint. "We want to know their side over the complaint. Hence, we have sent them a letter, asking them to remain present before before the police as early as possible," the daily quoted an official as saying.
Excitement is in the hair.. err air!

For the unversed, after Kamal filed a criminal complaint under Section 420 (cheating) and 406 (breach of trust) against the actor and the makers, Ayushmann's legal team had dismissed the claim of plagiarism and declared that their script is original. "In any event as the matter is sub-judice and since the next date of hearing is June 10, 2019 we are not commenting any further. In any event our script is original and we will show that to the court when the matter comes up," the team pointed out. However, with the summon, the fate of the film remains unclear for now.
Bala also features Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam apart from Saurab Shukla, Jaaved Jaaferi and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles. It will be shot in Mumbai and Kanpur.
