Tara Sutaria recently made her acting debut with Karan Johar's Student of the Year 2, co-starring Tiger Shroff and debutante Ananya Panday. Now as the film got mixed reviews from the fans and the critics, Tara opened up on her much talked about debut and said, “It's so nice that the film has released. All of us had been excited about it. The reactions have been mixed, but I am grateful for all the love we received.”
Furthermore, Tara revealed how the team was subjected to criticism ever since SOTY 2 was announced. Pointing out how she dealt with it, Tara informed, “I've been in this line of work for a long time, so I'm used to criticism. In this case, there was no pressure from the production house, but people had expectations given the film's franchise status and the first part's success. Ever since the film was announced, we'd been subjected to trolling and memes, so we were expecting some criticism. But it's part of the process."
Interestingly, within no time, Tara has two more films to look forward to. While she is all set to pair up with Sidharth Malhotra in Marjaavaan - which she has already wrapped, she will share screen space with Suneil Shetty’s debutant son Ahan Shetty in RX100 remake. Talking about her upcoming films, Tara maintained, “My role in Marjaavaan is something no one else is doing now. I didn’t expect to do my second and third film in the same year. It’s great to be busy. I finished promoting SOTY 2 and I got into the Rx100 remake."
Last but not the least, Tara signed off by saying that she hopes to have a playback stint in her third film.
