Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey will be seen together for the first time in filmmaker Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak, based on the life of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. While Deepika would be seen as the acid attack survivor Malti, Vikrant would portray her love interest, Alok Dixit. The film will release on January 10, 2020 and after being shot in Delhi and Mumbai, the film's cast and crew have wrapped up the film.
On Thursday, Meghna shared two special photographs with Deepika and Vikrant as she announced the wrap up. She further expressed her gratitude towards the film's lead characters - Malti and Amol, and wrote, "And we wrapped #chhapaak. Malti... Amol... I will carry you with me. Thank you for your faith and for pouring yourself into our film!"
While one of the images has Deepika and Meghna tightly hugging each other, the other picture has the trio - Vikrant, Meghna and Deepika - posing together. Check them out:

Yesterday was the last day of the film and Deepika, on Tuesday, took to social media and wrote, "It's a wrap on the most precious film of my career. Chhapaak."
Chhapaak also marks Deepika’s debut as a producer.
