Veteran actors Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff have worked together in films like Ram Lakhan and Parinda. Not to forget, their camaraderie has been widely appreciated by the audience. Interestingly, Anil had said a couple of months back that a reunion was on the cards as a filmmaker has approached them with a proposal. Now as per a report in a leading daily, the duo will be next seen in Subhash Ghai’s upcoming directorial, a crime-comedy titled Ramchand Kishanchand.
Apparently, the film is scheduled to take off in the next few months and the daily quoted a source close to the development as saying, “It’s a crime-comedy that tells the story of two 50-year-old cops and is slated to go on the floors in Mumbai later this." Incidentally, the two played cops in Subhash Ghai's Ram Lakhan as well. While Jackie had played a honest police officer, Ram, Anil was seen as his younger brother, a corrupt cop named Lakhan.
When Jackie was contacted about the project, he told the daily, “It’s always a ‘yes’ for a Subhash Ghai film.” The filmmaker, on the other hand, refused to divulge any details about the project and mentioned, “We have been working on various scripts for Anil and Jackie and have liked one.” Lastly, Anil chose not to comment. Jackie and Anil were last seen together in 2001 film Lajja, followed by Shootout at Wadala in 2013, where Jackie had a guest appearance.
