Anushka Sharma, Varun Dhawan and several Bollywood celebs get emotional on Yuvraj Singh’s retirement from cricket

Although the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is going on but one of the saddest news related to the world of cricket today is that India’s prolific all-rounder Yuvraj Singh announced his decision to retire from International cricket and hang up his boots. In a press conference in Mumbai today, the flamboyant cricketer said, “It's was great rollercoaster ride and beautiful story but it has to come to an end. It was the right time to go. I have decided to move on.” It’s an end of an era and fans of Yuvi have been pouring emotional and heartfelt messages for Yuvraj as he retires from cricket.

On Yuvraj’s retirement, everybody right from his teammates to Bollywood celebrities took to social media to thank the cricketer for his service and to wish him all the luck. However, one special message came from his wife actress Hazel Keech who shared a photo of Yuvi from the press conference and wrote a motivational message, “And, with that, its the end of an era. Be proud of yourself husband, now onto the next chapter.... love you.”

Several cricketers like Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammad Kaif, Virender Sehwag, Ishant Sharma and Bollywood celebs like Varun Dhawan, Neha Dhupia, Raveena Tandon, Angad Bedi, Anushka Sharma, Huma Qureshi, Suniel Shetty, Saina Nehwal also poured in their good wishes for Yuvraj. Yuvraj has the distinction of being the only player to play in all ICC World Cup and won all of them and was named the Player of the series in U-15 World Cup, U-19 World Cup, T-20 World Cup and in 2011 World Cup. His feat of smashing six sixes in a single over against Stuart Broad in 2007 World T20 World Cup will be forever remembered. Yuvraj has a staggering 8,701 runs and 111 wickets to his name in ODIs, with 1,177 runs and 28 wickets in T20Is and is known to be one of the greatest limited over players to play for India. The cricketer made a smashing comeback after defeating cancer as well.
