Salman Khan is riding high on the success of his latest release, Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat, co-starring Katrina Kaif. Going forward, Salman has an eclectic lineup of films ahead, from Prabhudheva-directorial Dabangg 3 on December 20 and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah, featuring Alia Bhatt, on Eid 2020. In fact, there's also Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick 2 and a possible collaboration with Rohit Shetty. Now we hear, that Salman is looking to line up his brother Sohail Khan's pet project — jungle adventure Sher Khan, as well.
For the unversed, Sher Khan first made news about 7 years ago but the project was put on a back-burner since the Khan brothers weren’t too pleased with the way the script was turning out. But now, both of them are planning to crack Sher Khan's script in the coming months, mostly by the time Dabangg 3 releases. “Even though Sher Khan was put on hold, its writing had not stopped. The brainstorming continued and now, a considerable portion of the script has been completed. The adventure film will also have a good dose of VFX, which is also being incorporated in the screenplay,” a leading daily quoted a source as saying.
Since work on the script is on in a full-fledged way, Salman is apparently looking to lock it by the first quarter of 2020, and would like to work on Sher Khan after Inshallah wraps up since the script of Kick 2, to be directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, is still underway. "Given that Alvira and Atul’s Bharat is out and Arbaaz’s Dabangg 3 is under-production, Salman is looking to line up Sher Khan. Since they have finished a considerable portion of the script and are likely to lock it in the coming months, it won’t be surprising if Salman decides to do it after completing Inshallah," added the source.
Incidentally, in the last decade, Salman has had films with his siblings, one after the other. And it seems, the actor is all set to collaborate with his youngest bhai next.
