Director Vikas Bahl, who was accused of sexual misconduct by a former employee of Phantom Films, was recently given a clean chit by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Reliance Entertainment. The clean chit enabled Vikas' credit as director of Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30 to be reinstated. His name featured in the recently released trailer as well. Now amid all this, Vikas has found a supporter in none other than Anand Kumar, on whose life Super 30 is based on.
In an interaction with a portal, Anand supported Vikas and said, "I feel since Vikas has received a clean chit, nobody should point fingers at him," further adding, "He is a nice person, extremely hardworking. Aur waise bhi, har kisiko yaha hisaab kitaab chukake jaana padta hai. I hope he gets to work on good films ahead." Revealing that Super 30 was earlier supposed to be produced by UTV Motion Pictures and directed by Anurag Basu, Anand added that after they disappeared, Phantom Films took over the project.
Sharing praises for Hrithik, who plays him in the film, Anand mentioned, People told me that Hrithik looks like a Greek god, how will he suit the dehati character? But Hrithik underwent a lot of preparation. He came wearing a gamcha just like me. He also spoke with me in an accent just like mine. I was super amazed. I feel he has done a good job."
The trailer of Super 30, produced by Reliance Entertainment, was launched on June 4. The film will be releasing in theatres on July 12.
