Shilpa Shetty Kundra is a renowned name in Bollywood and was quite a hit during the 1990s and early 2000s. Her last full-fledged film was Anil Sharma's Apne co-starring Katrina Kaif, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and ever since then, she has only been making guest appearances in films, her last being Dishkiyaoon in 2014. Nonetheless, Shilpa has been ruling the small screen with her dance show Super Dancer, apart from fulfilling her duties as a mother, homemaker, and businesswoman. Not to forget, her attempt to spread awareness to everyone about adopting a healthy lifestyle with her app that talks about health and fitness.
Now in a recent interaction with a leading daily, Shilpa talked about how she has managed to stay relevant without headlining a film in 11 years, and revealed that she is 'considering' to step back on to the big screen. Informing that she is reading three scripts at the moment although she has not given the nod yet, Shilpa added, "Over the years, I’ve had targets set for myself as a mother, homemaker and a businesswoman. Come what may, I had to meet those targets. Women, somehow, are born with the ability to manage everything well, without making a fuss, but in all of it, her child is her top priority. Now that my son Viaan spends longer hours at school, I have more time to do things that interest me. For the first seven years of being a mother, I didn’t sign a movie because my son needed my attention and I wanted to be there for him. I have no regrets about doing that. It’s not like I stopped working, I just did it at my own pace and made choices that I felt great about."
Furthermore, Shilpa talked about her husband Raj Kundra's reaction to her decision of coming back to Bollywood films. "We have long chats about my comeback to the movies and he's quite prepared for it. He supports my decision. With the kind of equation that we share, I know he will be my eternal boyfriend. He hardly behaves like a husband. In fact, today, if I'm exploring various businesses, it's because he showed me the way and I chose to follow it," she was quoted as saying.
Shilpa had made a mark for herself in Bollywood with dance numbers and for her role in films like Dhadkan, Phir Milenge and Life In A Metro.
