The makers of Sonakshi Sinha's, Varun Sharma's and Badshah's quirky drama Khandaani Shafakhana made its trailer available on social media platforms last Friday and won rave reviews for its out of the box and unique content. Since the trailer of the film was unveiled, fans and cine-goers have been keeping a close watch on further developments surrounding the project. And now, as per a new update, the film, that marks rapper Badshah's acting debut, has been pushed a few months ahead for an undisclosed reason. Khandaani Shafakhana was initially scheduled for a July release but now, it will make its way to the theatres on August 2, 2019.
Taran Adarsh, a renowned trade analyst, on his Twitter account made the announcement on Thursday morning. "New release date... #KhandaaniShafakhana will now release on 2 Aug 2019... Stars Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma, Annu Kapoor and singer Badshah... Directed by Shilpi Dasgupta," Taran wrote while he shared an updated poster.

Khandaani Shafakhana revolves around the subject of sex and the abnormities of it. The film focuses on lending the much-needed sex education in a light-hearted manner. The first schedule of the film kicked off in Punjab in February this year. Khandaani Shafakhana is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Mahaveer Jain, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Divya Khosla Kumar. Shilpi Dasgupta is the director of the film.
