Upon hearing the news of Rishi Kapoor been declared cancer-free in April, Bollywood, as well as fans of the actor, breathed a sigh of relief. Since then, we have waited with bated breath to see the veteran actor return to the city and the big screen too. Recently, reports surrounding Rishi making a comeback in the films with Juhi Chawla after returning to India around August-September made rounds across media. But now, as per a new development on his silver screen comeback, one doesn't have to wait till the year-end to see him onscreen. Yes, Rishi, before heading to New York City for his treatment shot for a film titled Jhootha Kahin Ka and on Thursday, the official announcement of the film with its first poster was made available on social media platforms.
Taran Adarsh, a renowned trade analyst, shared the poster and announcement on his Twitter account. He captioned it as, "Rishi Kapoor returns to cinema halls on 19 July 2019... For ardent Bollywood fans, who may recall that Rishi featured in a film of the same name with his wife Neetu Kapoor in 1979.
The story of Jhootha Kahin Ka revolves around two boys played by Sunny Singh and Omkar Kapoor who go to Mauritius for further studies and enjoy it so much that they do not want to come back home. Rishi will be seen as Omkar's father who pays them a surprise visit and gets a shock seeing their lifestyle. With this film, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 co-stars Sunny and Omkar will be seen sharing screen space after four long years. Apart from them, the film co-stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Lillete Dubey and Manoj Joshi in important roles. Smeep Kang is the director of the film which is scheduled to release on July 19, 2019.
