Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is riding high on the success of his last cinematic outing, Kabir Singh, co-starring Kiara Advani. Within a week of its release, the film joined the coveted Rs 100 crore club and has been declared as a blockbuster. Now after Kabir Singh, it seems Shahid has finalised his next project and it will also feature his half-brother, Ishaan Khatter in a supporting role. According to an entertainment portal, Shahid has decided to star as a lead in Neerja director Ram Madhvani’s upcoming action-adventure. A source close to the development told the website, "It's an adventure based action drama. He plays a biker in the film. The movie is expected to roll sometime around January next year. Shahid is definitely doing the film."
Considering the film is a story of two brothers, the makers have approached Ishaan, Shahid's real-life brother, to play his brother on the silver screen. "Ishaan Khatter has been offered the other part. When Shahid was told about this, he was extremely happy about the development. Ishaan too has liked the script and okayed it. The story is extremely hard hitting and emotional at the same time, and perfectly suits the two bhais," added the source.
Well, if it turns out to be true, it would certainly be a delight to see these two brothers carve their magic on the silver screen.
Meanwhile, Shahid's Kabir Singh released on June 21 and is raking in moolah at the box-office. Ishaan, on the other hand, made his debut with Majid Majidi's Beyond The Clouds and went on to star in Dhadak, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor.
