Ace filmmaker Anurag Basu upcoming film, a multi-starrer dark comic anthology, has been grabbing the attention lately for it ensemble cast including Sanya Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Abhishek Bachchan. The film, expected to be like Life In A... Metro, is reportedly an anthology of four stories. Now adding to the excitement, we hear that actress Vidya Balan has joined the ensemble cast and she will make a cameo appearance in the much-awaited project. While details of her character have been kept under wraps, a report in a leading daily stated that the makers wanted someone to be the narrator of all four stories. Hence, Vidya has been roped in for the flick, which has now been titled Ludo.

Apparently, when Anurag called Vidya for the role, she was quick to say yes to it and her portions will be shot in the coming days. In fact, an entertainment portal cited a source as saying, "Vidya is keen on doing this film even though she knows it is a small role. But she has liked her part so much that she didn’t care about the screen time etc. When she was approached for it, she immediately decided to do the part."

Meanwhile, Bhushan Kumar, who is bankrolling the film under his banner T-series, had recently said in a statement, "The characters, the story is so compelling yet the treatment is so amusing. We have tried to bring on board a terrific cast who perfectly fit the roles that are written."

Well, it will be a delight to see Vidya collaborate with so many actors and of course, a director like Anurag.
