For the past couple of days, speculations have been rife that Taapsee Pannu is all set to reunite with her Mulk director Anubhav Sinha for Thappad, a sociopolitical drama, inspired by true-life incidents. A leading daily quoted a source as saying, "It’s a female-oriented subject that defies narratives typecasting women. It questions the society and will deliver a poignant message on world domination by women. Taapsee’s protagonist will be a middle-class girl," although an official confirmation from the actress or the director was awaited.
Now adding to the excitement, Taapsee has finally revealed that she is all set to collaborate with Anubhav yet again through a social media post. In the picture shared by Taapsee, she can be seen treating the director with some delicacies. "Cheers to the new beginning with some good food! This one is a subject way too close to my heart. I’ve been wanting to do this since years. It becomes exciting when it happens with the ‘Man of The Moment’ @anubhavsinha," Taapsee captioned the post.
Although she kept the film details under wraps, Taapsee revealed that their upcoming project will hit the screens on Women's Day next year, that is, March 8, 2020.
On the work front, Taapsee is currently busy shooting for Saand Ki Aankh in Uttar Pradesh alongside Bhumi Pednekar. Anubhav, on the other hand, is getting praises from all corners for his latest release Article 15, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead.
