Bhumi Pednekar and Tapsee Pannu are all set to feature together in their pcoming film Saand Ki Aankh, based on old sharpshooters - Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar. Chandro, 87, and Prakashi, 82, are from Uttar Pradesh's Johri village and reportedly took up sharpshooting in their fifties. Chandro, who is fondly called shooter 'dadi', is among the world's oldest female sharpshooters. After releasing the posters and stills from the film, the makers have finally dropped the much-awaited teaser and we must say, Bhumi and Taapsee hit the bull's eye:
In the teaser, both Bhumi and Taapsee, as Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar, are determined towards their goal of becoming professional sharpshooters. The two fierce women defy odds and traditions, evenutally attaining national fame after they won more than 30 national championships after the age of 65.
Revealing the teaser, the makers wrote, "Iss Diwali Patakhe Nahi, Goliyaan Chalengi." Check the teaser here:
The Reliance Entertainment film will mark writer Hiranandani's debut as a director. It will also be jointly produced by Anurag Kashyap and Nidhi Parmar. Saand Ki Aankh also features Prakash Jha and Vicky Kadian in pivotal roles. Recently, it faced a lot of flak as it cast two young actors playing 60-year-olds and not women of the age of the sharpshooters.
Saand Ki Aankh will hit the screens on October 25.
